Connecting with the divine: Spiritual Guidance for Every Path

Disclaimer: This is not mental health or personal crisis management therapy.  I am NOT a licensed, clinical therapist with the State of Colorado.  A state-Licensed therapist has a Degree in counseling, psychology or social work, and is a trained professional who may diagnose and treat mental health and other crisis or trauma disorders using evidence-based techniques. A Spiritual counselor will focus on personal growth, finding meaning in your life, and helping to connect to a higher power.

I have a wide background, with various skill sets coming together over the past 35 years.  I am a Wiccan High Priestess, practicing on the path of the wise for the past 25 years.  I am a resource for all things Wiccan and pagan.  I am also very familiar with the Shaman’s path, as I use many shamanistic modalities in my healing practice.  Alternately,  I was raised Christian, from a very devout family.  We prayed daily and went to church twice a week throughout my childhood and teen years.  I am well versed in Christian theology and concepts, and I have no issue with meeting people where they are on their religious path.  Your spirituality does not have to match mine.  I have also studied yoga, meditation, chanting, breathwork and the use of mantras for 35 years.  During that time, I studied Ayurveda (and ancient science of life and healthy living) for 5 years while working as a clinical assistant to an Ayurvedic practitioner in Aurora Colorado.  My personal health, exercise and diet program comes from the concepts of Ayurveda.    As your physical health is key to your mental and spiritual health, I will almost always include references and guidance about physical health to my clients.  I have trained in leadership and coaching with Landmark Education in the early 90's and incorporate many of those concepts and strengths into my work with clients seeking to increase personal power, presentation, or finding their voice, etc.  These skills, in addition to my lived experience gives me a wide perspective from which to view your situation.  I approach my counseling service with and open mind and an open heart.

What I offer in my spiritual counseling is guidance in helping you incorporate a higher power into your life, in an easy and functional way, appropriate to your religious views and background. This is a very broad area of service, and each client’s needs are different.  But in an attempt to simplify, here is a brief list of questions people have come to me with for guidance:

  • I just feel lost in my life, I don’t know where I’m going, what am I doing here?

  • I have lost interest in my daily prayers.  I have experienced a lot of hardship lately, and I feel like Jesus is not listening to me.  What do I do now?

  • I am having trouble learning to meditate, can you help me with that?

  • I have been dabbling in witchcraft.  I’ve read some books and tried a few things, but I don’t feel confident in my skills.  I’m not sure I’m doing it right.  I’m afraid to make mistakes.  Can you teach me?

  • I feel disconnected from spirit, my life feels empty.  How do I reconnect?

  • I want to experience the energies of nature more deeply, I want to strengthen my connection to the earth and the elemental powers.

  • I’m ready to engage in a spiritual practice.  Can you help me find what’s right for me, and give me some pointers on how I might develop a daily devotional practice.

  • I’ve heard that chanting mantras is supposed to be really powerful, but I have no idea how to do that.  Can you help me?
